Tag Rugby with Larry

We were so pleased earlier this month to welcome back Larry Canavan from Tullow RFC, following his illness last school year. Larry is a favourite visitor and sports coach in our school and was very much missed! As soon as Larry came back he started training with the senior classes, 4th – 6th. As there are a lot of children in the class he spits then into two groups. Larry trains with the kids on Mondays. The children really enjoy tag rugby and we are very grateful to Larry, Tullow RFC and the youth development team in Leinster for the support our school receives.
On Wednesday 30th September Larry organised a blitz between the senior pupils of our school and the senior pupils of Shilelagh NS. The children had a great day with great weather and played great rugby! Thanks to Larry and to the teachers involved.
